Prevention Is
Better Than Cure

In Ghana, most people think going for random checkups is a luxury,
but it is a big NO.
"It is a necessity!"

"The last time I talked about the rampant accidents on our roads.
Today I am going to talk about our health."
Random checkups are a not luxury, It is a necessity!
Some will tell you that there were no hospitals in the olden days and our parents and grandparents lived for years.
Yes, it might be true,
but my question is:
did our parents and grandparents eat
junk foods?

Growing up in Banda Ahenkro, I thought we were not eating right because the food was not processed. Now I know we were rather eating right and great because our foods were all green leaves.
-
Moringa,
-
Shea butter
-
locust beans
-
The kontomire and
-
all the Green vegetables you can think of.

Just this Friday, I went for a scan and someone asked me,
"Are you pregnant?"
I was surprised because you don’t only go for scans when you are pregnant. You can go and check your kidneys, lungs, pancreas, uterus – to make sure you are okay and safe.
I will rather spend a little money to be safe than wait till I go and spend thousands to get a cure.
A lot of kidney failures going on these days!
Please, as we work and work, let us take our health seriously and incorporate checkups
in our daily lives.

At least once a year, you can walk into the hospital and get your checkups done.
Some even don’t know their genotype or glucose level.
Your health should be your primary concern as a person.
Prevention is better than cure.

Love and peace out. ❤️
