In my last blog, I shared why regular check-ups matter – even when you feel fine. Prevention is better than cure!

👉 In my new blog, I dive into a powerful Ghanaian cleansing tradition your body will thank you for – go check it out!

Hello my beautiful people,

It’s Evelyn here from Ghana—bringing you a little truth and tradition from the heart of the village.

Today’s topic? Colon cleaning.

Yes, I said it! We call it Bentoa back home, and if you grew up where I did, just hearing that word made kids run away crying (and trust me, I was one of them!).

So let me tell you—today, I did it.

I took the enema just like our mothers used to do to us when we were small. You remember, don’t you?

When you were sick and you saw your mom standing there holding that Bentoa, you already knew what time it was.

No talking. No escape. It was going in—herbs and all.

And let me tell you something:
by the next day, you would wake up feeling like a brand-new human! Strong, fresh, and ready to help
carry water or run in the fields.
That enema? It was magic.

Our mothers and grandmothers
knew what they were doing.
No fancy hospitals. No expensive pills.
Just herbs, love, and Bentoa.

How many of us still keep an enema at home?
Do today’s kids even know what Bentoa is?
Back then, our people were living long, strong lives—well into their 80s and 90s.
And many of them never saw a hospital.

Why?
Because nature was their medicine.

Colon cleansing is what they were doing, even if they didn’t call it that. They were farmers, hunters—working hard every day under the sun. Eating carbs and meat, yet their stomachs stayed flat. No bloating, no sluggishness
Now?
We sit more, move less, and eat junk.
No wonder our systems are overwhelmed. Sometimes all your body needs is a little help to push the toxins out.

That’s it.

So yes, if you have health issues, please see a professional. Colonic hydrotherapy is an option.

But if you're generally okay, try a little home cleansing with an enema. It won’t hurt.

In fact, your body will thank you.

Your health should be your primary concern as a person.

Prevention is better than cure.
